Tranquil Things is Cecilia Combs’s debut self-published poetry collection. It’s an anthology of her favorite poems written throughout high school, all of which center on things she finds “peaceful”. The poems mainly deal with sleeping, nature, and friendship found in the sections Hypnos, Pan, and Philia respectively.
The headings are references to ancient Greek ideas. “Hypnos” refers to the Greek god of sleep, “Pan” to the satyr god of nature, and “Philia” to the Greek concept of brotherly love and affection.
Wonderful artists (and friends) of the author illustrated specific poems and brought the words to life. The artists who contributed to this book are Kendall Lockhart, Sara Dunsmore, Madison Morris, Adrianna DiBenedetto, C. Nipe, and Kayla Kletzkin.

Tranquil Things Release Party
On May 28th 2022 Cecilia Combs and friends celebrated the release of Tranquil Things. The event was held at Barney Loves Books Bookstore, which is at 22 South Main Street Woodstown, NJ. It was a wonderful day and everyone who came is vastly appreciated!Tranquil Travels
