
Cecilia Combs is a young author who lives in New Jersey. She is in her second year of college at Rowan University. She's majoring in their Writing Arts program, with a minor in Creative Writing and Minor in English. She is also a pursuing a Certificate of Undergraduate Study in French. In 2024, she began serving as the President to the Writing Arts Club on campus. She is also active in the Avant Literay magazine on campus. Also during 2023, she served as an ambassador in the pilot program for the Writing Ambassador program at Rowan. In the summer of 2023 and fall of 2023, she worked as an Intern with the Writing Arts department at Rowan University. In the spring of 2025 she was honored to recieve nominations for the Kopenhaver Leadership Boot Camp and earn a certificate from them. She is also thriled that her short story, "Love Letters" has won third place in the Denise Gess Literary Awards for the undergraduate fiction award! Project.
Cecilia won an Honorable mention in Morristown’s Festival of Books 2021 Teen Writer’s Contest. She also attended (and loved) the University of Pennsylvania’s Kelly Writers House Youth Summer program. Cecilia has virtually read her work at Smith College and the University of Pennsylvania. She routinely reads and attends at the Spoken Word and Open Mic events on Rowan's campus. Her work has been published in the Writing Arts Club Zine, Avant Literay Magazine editions, Halftone Pop Culture Magazine, and the Rowan Writing Arts department website.
When she’s not writing or reading she likes to spent time at Barney Loves Books in Woodstown, NJ. She also likes to perform magic shows with her father, and experiment with sewing, cooking, media, and photography. Her favorite non-writing activity is spending time with her family, friends, and cats.
