Welcome to On-Campus Work. This page discusses all of the writing, work, and job experience Cecilia has gained while at Rowan University.
Writing Ambassador Pilot Program
Cecilia was one of the select few who participated in the Writing Ambassador Pilot program at Rowan University. This program served to introduce non-Writing Arts students to everything the program has to offer. The ambassadors created a slideshow to explain the major, minor, and other programs associated with the Writing Arts department. Cecilia and others then presented these slideshows to students at Rowan University.
Writing Arts Internal Internship Summer 2023
From May to August of 2023, Cecilia interned with the Rowan University Writing Arts department. During that time she took photos, wrote articles, and created posts and stories for the Rowan University Writing Arts social media accounts. You can find links to her full portfolio for the semester here.
She wrote four articles during her internship. In May, she wrote "Writing Arts First Career Day for Future Students". The next month she wrote, "Writing Alliance Conference". Then, she wrote, "Professor Katie Budris Reads at First Ever Basket House Poetry Event". Her favorite article to write was "Non-Traditional Storytelling Through Clubs on Campus."

Writing Arts Club President
Cecilia is thrilled to be a part of Rowan University's Writing Arts Club! She was their senator from 2023 to 2024. Then, in Fall of 2024 she became their President. She was truly blessed to work alongside her amazing executive board, Sophia Nigro, Mia-Sara King, Emily Olson, and Hannah Whitaker. During their time as the Writing Arts Club e-board they not only ran the club, but created several new events. They started the Craft & Chat event series. During those events the Avant literary magazine and Poetic Justice clubs worked together with the Writing Arts Club. The clubs created holiday appropriate cards to donate to local senior homes. The e-board also is currently in the middle of planning their first “Senior Night” where they will perform an open mic to amuse the elderly. They are also planning the first ever Writing Arts Club Alumni Networking event. That event will serve as a place for alumni and faculty to give career advice to the club members.
