Cecilia has been featured in the article “National Book Month: Writing Arts & Journalism Students, Faculty Share Favorite Reads” written by  Asiya Robinson. The Writing Arts Club was featured in the Whit article, “A look at the Writing Arts Club at Rowan” by Julissa Sierra. Claire McDermott featured the Writing Arts Club in her wonderful article, “The Writing Arts Club inspires students to embrace their inner writer” Cecilia was a guest speaker on Avant literary magazine's podcast, "All Killer No Filler Episode 8: Not a ‘Character Building Guy’" available on Spotify. Awards

Cecilia won honorable mention Morristown’s Festival of Books 2021 Teen Writer’s Contest. Cecilia Combs was nominated for the Anne-Marie Bottazzi Scholarship by Rowan Writing Arts department faculty in 2024. She was also nominated for the Kopenhaver Leadership Boot Camp by the Rowan Writing arts department faculty in 2025. She attended their leadership boot camp and received a certificate from the program. Cecilia recently won third place for her short story, “Love Letters” in the undergraduate fiction portion of the Denise Gess Literary Awards Ceremony.
